'Jane Taylor is no ordinary singer songwriter. She has this intangible magic in her voice. The kind that draws you in and holds you right there until the moment you notice that you've forgotten to breathe and then you hear her words (which bizarrely seem to have been written for you), and stand there transfixed like its a bit of fate that brought you here and I will defy anyone not to leave without a CD or at least humming one of her songs' - Get Rhythm.

'A Modern Question' is a finely tuned forty three minute masterpiece of sordid pleasure for the Bristol based quintet. A group of friends drawn together through the bands vertically challenged lead guitarist and vocalist Bobby Anderson united in the premise that their sole aim was to produce pure, unadulterated rock music. From the outset Yes Rebels have been gunning for a modern day rock'n'roll revival insisting that their style of music is not to be classed hap-hazardly in any of the numerous sub-genres littering the modern day music scene, its just simple good old rock'n'roll and nothing else. Just sit back and enjoy the ride.

The Naturals have spent years evolving their sound into something that is difficult to compare to other bands and very individualistic, yet pulling influences from Biffy Clyro to Blur and Pendulum to The Living End. CENTREFOLDS powerfully combine a fusion of indie/pop influences to create the unique sound that is in no doubt CENTREFOLDS. Taking the raw noise from Queens Of The Stone Age, the sugar-sweet candy from Snow Patrol and adding a touch of salt-water, CENTREFOLDS have forged their own brand of punchy, British surf-rock. Armed with singer/songwriters’ Thomas Corneill & Phil Smith and rhythm section Alex McClean & Martin Iles CENTREFOLDS are in no doubt a band unlike any other with a collection of powerful and beautiful crafted musings.

"With all three sets of equipment on the already compact stage of The Louisiana in Bristol there's not a lot of room for the local four-piece that is the multi-instrumented Olo Worms. With a penchant for using household items as instruments, like, ummm, Sellotape, these chaps come across like a lounge-core Hot Chip or a fudgywudgy-up Beta Band with cubes of Lemon Jelly thrown into the pudding, i.e. thoroughly enjoyable, if a bit daft. After set-closer 'The Barbershop' (complete with accompanying electric razor) someone in the crowd is heard to say "What the hell was that?". I'm sure the Olo Worms would have been happy with that response. " - EGIGS

MISSING WHITE WOMEN are a band formed in 2009 from North-West London/Bristol. They like to make noise that isn't quite like anything else around today, influenced by bands such as Sonic Youth, The Brian Jonestown Massacre, My Bloody Valentine and The Cooper Temple Clause, they are often described as schizophrenic, dark, moody and atmospheric, with frequent outbursts of noise, aggression and vitality.

"Countryside are potentially one of the best new English bands out there with their delicate warmth and experimental undercurrent that runs underneath their beautifully sublime songs. This CD has kept us happy for most of the morning now, sweetly weaving around our semi subconscious with that slightly glitchy synth textures, the intimate glowing voices, the hopeful uplifting passages of goodness and most importantly the delicate songs that are worth investing so much time in..." The Welcome Committee are with arms wide walking. They want you to feel welcome. They are those people at stations with signs. They hug, they do not shake hands. They currently number three although at the moment geography prevents the entire faction being fufilled. The Welcome Committee do not lose members, only gain them on the sweet bye-and-bye. This makes them sound like somewhat of a cultish enterprise, or zombies. If pressed, the Welcome Committee would rather be zombies. They sometimes sing of disillusioned pirates and of hybrid wildlife. In the future they hope to sing of more personal matters, such as bats and drams, moonlit ghosts, crows and mermaids hair. The Welcome Committee want to be woozy drunk so that you'll catch them in a big city and punch out the lights. They are sticklers for inconsistency. Fake blood is welcome (they love the taste), as are photocopiers (they love the smell) and crickets (they love the sound). They are doing their best, they really are but it is not easy. Them just need hugs.

The Hats began life as a three piece with James on guitar and vocals, Matt on drums and Rob on lead guitar. When a friend offered them a gig at Bristol's prestigious Commonwealth Museum they decided to expand, adding Steve on bass, Sophie on saxophone, Liam on trombone and Luke on trumpet.

Their songwriting began to incorporate this newly-found wall-of-sound. They emphasise live performance which has put them in good stead, especially with the likes of Mark Ronson and Amy Winehouse gracing the charts and popularising a orchestral arrangements.

The Hats have recently finished recording their new EP - 'Big in Malta' - so named after a friend offered them the chance to play at a Maltese wedding in August. They're playing with a band who have just spent three weeks at the top of the Maltese charts so it's possible they may find similar success.
